AEW President Tony Khan recently announced that this Saturday’s Grand Slam Australia event will have one of the largest gates in the company’s history.
However, Khan did not specify a figure.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the current gate for AEW Grand Slam Australia exceeds $1.25 million. This makes it the third-largest gate in AEW’s history, behind both All In events held in London.
Nonetheless, AEW Grand Slam Australia could potentially drop to fourth place, as advance sales for All In: Texas 2025 are expected to be greater.
The exact number of tickets sold remains unclear, but the Brisbane Entertainment Centre has a capacity of approximately 9,500.
The report also mentions that AEW Grand Slam Australia is not completely sold out. The secondary market has a get-in price of $44, while tickets on the primary market are quite expensive.
