Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

This week is chock full of special events in pro wrestling, including tonight’s double feature 4-hour edition of Dynamite/Collision with AEW Fyter Fest 2025.

At the time of this publication, not all that much has actually been announced, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still matches worth talking about.

My question for you today is “What are your predictions for AEW Fyter Fest?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

Let’s just get some of the quick ones out of the way: FTR beats Atlantis Jr and Templario, Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight and Komander beat La Faccion Ingobernable, and Thekla will obviously win her debut match against whatever enhancement talent they throw her way. If it’s someone on the actual roster, I’d be shocked. I’d assume it would be someone from ROH or a one-off local person.

The only way I can see Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa losing their tag match against Julia Hart and Skye Blue is if Shirakawa takes the pin while Storm is busy distracted by Mercedes Mone, who will be ringside for commentary.

I assume The Hurt Syndicate cut an elongated promo that a lot of people will like, but that I personally will find boring. This story hasn’t been doing it for me. It feels like the same promo every week, with weaker and weaker “jokes” and less and less to say. But people like saying “we hurt people” and in wrestling, short phrases that are echoed by the audience = gold. What? Yeah. Yeet. Yes.

With Jon Moxley versus Mark Briscoe being a non-title match, but not an eliminator, I’d still naturally assume Moxley wins. There’s time to kill before All In, but not enough that I think it’s worthwhile to have Briscoe score a pin, get a title shot, and then have a match with Moxley ahead of his big match against “Hangman” Adam Page. It’s probably easier to just have Briscoe lose and to continue to make Moxley strong. But since it isn’t for the title or anything, there is still a chance Briscoe wins.

Lastly, I wholeheartedly expect Kenny Omega to retain the International Championship. I’ve been repeating this for months that I think Omega and Kazuchika Okada will unify the International/Continental Championships in Texas to make the AEW Intercontinental Championship, and I’m sticking by that prediction until we hear otherwise.
