The Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) have not signed with WWE – yet.

While several reports on Friday indicated that the duo had signed a deal with WWE and would be heading straight to the main roster, Pwinsider is reporting that this is not the case.

The report states that the pair have not only not signed with WWE, but they are still under contract to AEW.

With that being said, there is interest in the tag team from WWE. Until they can sign, they have to be “free and clear” of their AEW obligations. That simply has not happened yet.

Due to the fact that they are still under contract with AEW, there’s no way they could sign with WWE right now or even have talks with them.

The belief is that both men will be signing with WWE when they are free to do so. Rey Fenix is definitely still under a deal with AEW and the team’s transition to another company “won’t be as smooth as expected.”
