The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was on the line at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland in a Triple Threat match as Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill were challenged by both The Unholy Union as well as Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. With the champions’ advantage no longer in their favor, that is exactly how things played out, and we now have new champions.
Both sets of challenging teams used the numbers game to overload the champions, with an alliance for the bulk of the match. It was a great strategy to offset the power of Belair and Cargill, who would have proven too difficult to beat on their own.
So what did Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn do? They capitalized on their weaker opponents, with Dawn pinning Baszler to capture the titles for The Unholy Union.
This result protects Belair and Cargill, as they didn’t take the pin, and gave the attendees in the OVO Hydro something to pop loudly over. Dawn is from Glasgow, while Fyre is from Johnstone, Scotland.

This comes just days after tragedy struck Fyre’s family when her mother, Bridgeen Mitchell, was killed in a car accident while vacationing in Orlando, Florida to visit Fyre. Her father, Ronnie, survived the crash, thankfully.

This is the first WWE Tag Team Championship run for Fyre and Dawn, who previously won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship and held that until the titles were retired and merged by Baszler and Ronda Rousey on May 29, 2023.
