WWE NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov is ready for his next big challenge after making his WWE RAW in-ring debut on the April 8, episode.

On the post-WrestleMania 40 edition of RAW, Dragunov defeated former NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura mere days after retaining the gold against Tony D’Angelo at Stand & Deliver.

On a recent edition of “WWE RAW Talk,” Dragunov shared his thoughts on his victory over the King of Strong Style and discussed what’s to come. He said,

“Well, for now, all I can say is that I’m beaten up. I’m very, very sore. But if there’s one thing that people know about me, it’s that I’m always looking out for the next fight. I’m always prepared. That’s why they call me the Mad Dragon, that’s why they call me the Tsar. ‘Unbe Sigbar’ is what people think when they hear the name Ilja Dragunov.

“So what I’m looking out for next after this absolutely outstanding weekend is just the next challenge to show the people that my heart is burning. And all I know is, yeah, probably pure intensity.”

Dragunov’s next challenge could indeed be on the main roster. The WWE NXT Champion has been confirmed as eligible for this year’s draft.
