WWE NXT North American Champion Oba Femi has been heavily praised by NXT officials in recent weeks.

According to a report from Fightful Select, the North American Champion has been impressing WWE NXT officials with his work since he captured the title from Dragon Lee in January.

Several WWE NXT officials have been surprised with how much Femi has developed since he debuted on TV. The common opinion backstage is that he’s the “total package” in terms of his look and in-ring work. One source noted that he has “untapped potential.”

Another source added that Femi is expected to do “major things” in WWE and is someone the company views as a future WWE Champion. With that being said, there are no plans to rush him to the main roster as he continues to develop in NXT.
