The 2023 Royal Rumble was the 36th annual Royal Rumble event produced by WWE. The show was held for wrestlers from RAW and SmackDown and didn’t include talent from NXT. The event took place on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas as part of the Alamodome’s 30th-anniversary celebration.
Pwinsider reports that WWE is ‘extremely happy’ with Saturday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. The company is also ‘thrilled’ with the viewership rating on Peacock, with the numbers being much higher than last year’s pay-per-view.
WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque previously declared that the live gate at the Alamodome in San Antonio was the highest in the history of the Royal Rumble. The show also garnered the highest sponsorship numbers for WWE.
