Dutch Mantell (Zeb Colter in WWE) took to Twitter on Friday to announce that he had been robbed in Nashville, TN.

Welp – when the former WWE talent and well-known conspiracy theorist from the far right was caught in a lie and was called out by fans – true to form – he claimed he was only “joking.”

Mantell originally wrote,

“Walking down the street in Nashville today thinking about what a great country the USA ?? is. I thought how lucky I am. Then somebody threw a rock, hit me in the head and I got robbed. Now I’m at the ER with a concussion. Where’s @JamesStormBrand when I need him?”

After being called out by several fans, Mantell once again took to Twitter to clarify the situation, saying that he was just “joking.” Good lord – you can’t make this stuff up my friends! Mantell wrote,

“I made a tweet earlier that said I got robbed on the streets in Nashville and went to the ER. It was a JOKE. I apologize for those that took it as legit. I appreciate all the msgs asking if I’m OK. I am. Humbled by the concern guys.”
