Becky Lynch, real name Rebecca Quinn, has another notable acting role as she will be part of the third season of The Rock’s “Young Rock” series. It will premiere this Friday on NBC at 8:30 PM EST.
Pwinsider reported that Lynch will be playing rock star Cyndi Lauper in the episode. The episode is about Lauper throwing a party around WrestleMania 1 with Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, Vince McMahon, Lou Albano and Liberace.
Lauper was listed as a possible recurring character when the series was casting, so this may not be Lynch’s only appearance on the show. Here is the plot for “The People Need You”:
“After losing the election, Dwayne Johnson is ready to withdraw from politics. In 1985, Rocky Johnson learns there are consequences to crossing Vince McMahon.”
Lauper was a celebrity guest who helped contribute to the success of WrestleMania I and she accompanied Wendi Richter to the ring for her WWF Women’s Championship match against Leilani Kai.
Lynch has been sidelined for the last couple of months due to a separated shoulder.
