CJ Perry may be gone from WWE, but she is “forever grateful” for the opportunities the company gave her.

Perry, aka Lana, was on WWE’s main roster between 2014 and 2021 before her release in June last year.

Speaking to Last Words on Sports, Perry addressed her run in WWE and is pleased to have been able to play a heel.

“I truly enjoyed the Russian run that we had and fighting John Cena at WrestleMania with our tank and Russian soldiers! That was such a fun, year-long story we had!

“I am forever grateful to Triple H and Vince to have given me the iconic opportunity to play as a Russian villain on TV.”

Speaking about her favorite storyline, Perry said the controversial love drama between herself, real-life husband Miro, Bobby Lashley, and Liv Morgan stands out.

“Most people in their life fall in love a couple of times, go through heartbreak, and eventually, find room in their hearts to love again.”

Perry had been scheduled for the WES UK event, where she was set compete against fellow WWE alum Lina Fanane (Nia Jax) but that show was canceled.
