IYO SKY could soon have championship gold around her waist once more after colliding with Raquel Rodriguez on Monday Night RAW.
During the latest RAW, SKY teamed with WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green to face Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez of the Judgment Day.
On “Wrestling Observer Radio”, Dave Meltzer discussed SKY pinning Rodriguez, the reigning WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
“Sets up Intercontinental Championship match relatively soon. Probably within the next few weeks.
“Roxanne, you know, was better than usual and IYO’s fantastic. And I actually thought this was a really, really good match.”
SKY is a former Women’s Champion and Women’s World Champion. She is also a former NXT Women’s Champion and has held tag-team gold.
Rodriguez won the title from Sol Ruca earlier this year, giving Raquel her first taste of singles championship gold as part of the main roster.
