Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane recently reunited outside of the ring as part of Asuka’s YouTube channel.
The video saw the pair unite to celebrate Kairi’s birthday, as the former Superstar turned 38 on September 23, 2026.
The pair teamed in WWE as the Kabuki Warriors, where they held the WWE Women’s Tag Titles. Both are former WWE NXT Women’s Champions.
Sane was released from WWE earlier this year, while playing a pivotal part of the feud between Asuka and IYO SKY that was playing out on TV.
At Backlash 2026, Asuka stepped away from in-ring action after her loss to SKY but has made it clear that she is still with WWE.
The belief is that Asuka will continue to wrestle, but more sporadically. She joined WWE in 2015 and boasts the record for the longest undefeated streak in decades.
