Xanti Li appears to have made a strong enough impression during her ROH debut to potentially earn more opportunities with the company.
According to a report from False Finish, there is currently mutual interest between Li and AEW/ROH. While the two sides have not reached an agreement on a contract, Li is reportedly expected to continue appearing on ROH programming moving forward.
Li made her first ROH appearance on the September 21 episode of ROH on HonorClub, where she teamed with Dream Girl Ellie against Mina Shirakawa and Queen Aminata. Although Li and Ellie ultimately suffered a defeat, her performance generated plenty of positive reactions from fans on social media, with some calling for ROH or AEW to sign her.
The ROH appearance came after Li had already established herself on the independent wrestling scene. She has competed for promotions including WWN, SHINE and Pro Wrestling Action. Earlier this year, she also challenged Amber Nova for the MWO Women’s Championship and picked up a singles victory over Katalina Perez in April.
There is currently no word on when, or if, Li could officially sign with AEW.
