Numbers on a screen don’t usually cause this much drama, but MVP isn’t ignoring claims about his podcast’s YouTube views. After critics said he bought bots to inflate the numbers on “Marking Out,” the AEW star strongly denied it and explained why the claim doesn’t make sense.
The topic came up on the September 28 episode of the show, where MVP and Dwayne Sees read through recent criticism together. One comment claimed that the channel’s views were fake, even though the person making that claim admitted they had no actual proof. MVP said that he has no problem with people sharing honest opinions, but drew a clear line when it came to spreading false information.
He also questioned why someone would speak so confidently about a show they insist they have never watched. As for the bot accusation itself, MVP called it a flat-out lie and declared that he feels completely confident that no bots or paid views have ever been used.
To back that up, he explained that YouTube actively searches for channels that fake their numbers and shuts them down when it finds proof. He pointed out that “Marking Out” remains fully monetized, which would be impossible if the accusations were true.
This is not the first time MVP has pushed back against criticism of his show. Weeks earlier, he defended himself after facing backlash for asking fans to subscribe following more than seventy episodes, insisting that he was simply doing what most YouTube creators do.
