Anthony Bowens and Max Caster’s AEW contracts are reportedly still in limbo, with no negotiations taking place for new deals at this time.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the former Acclaimed members’ contracts were set to expire at the beginning of September, with negotiations yet to begin. According to a report from Fightful Select, sources within AEW have now indicated that there have still been no discussions regarding new contracts for either Bowens or Caster.
There is also reportedly no word on whether AEW intends to offer either wrestler a new deal.
Bowens has remained active on AEW television as a member of The Opps and competed at AEW All In 2026. However, outside of those appearances, he has not wrestled for the company since July.
Caster, meanwhile, has worked several independent dates throughout 2026 but has not competed in an AEW match since appearing in the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal on the December 17 episode of AEW Dynamite last year.
Adding another layer to Bowens’ situation, it was reported in late August that WWE had shown some level of interest in the former AEW World Tag Team Champion.
Bowens and Caster previously enjoyed a lengthy run together as The Acclaimed, becoming AEW World Tag Team Champions and AEW World Trios Champions. The duo also briefly reunited as a team in 2025 before going their separate ways again.
