AEW commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross says he continues to deal with lingering health issues stemming from his previous skin cancer treatment.

Ross is currently recovering from recent brain surgery, and during the latest episode of his “Grilling JR” podcast, he discussed his ongoing recovery and the lasting effects of the 22 rounds of radiation treatment he underwent after being diagnosed with skin cancer in 2021.

While discussing his weight loss over the years, including his time in WWE, Ross revealed that home healthcare nurses visit him twice a week to check his vital signs, blood sugar, and blood pressure. He also revealed that a wound on his left ankle caused by his cancer treatment has yet to fully heal. He said,

“Over 50 pounds. I have home health care nurses who come to my home twice a week, and they look me over and take my vitals, blood sugar, and blood pressure, and I still have issues. The wound on my left ankle from skin cancer and 22 radiation treatments has not healed. So they dress that twice a week. So, that’s good. And it’s looking better, but it’s not healed.”

“And then they had to check all your vitals. Make sure I’m not going crazy. I have a problem. I have cravings sometimes for sugar. I like pie. I like cake. I like cake and ice cream like a little child. And I get pissed at myself sometimes because of my urges. So I’ve been really watching my blood sugar. And I’m going to continue to do that because that’s a dangerous thing to f**k with. I’m just trying to watch out.”
