WWE appeared to have an unusual production error during this week’s edition of Sunday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia, when the entrance graphics for a former WWE Women’s Champion unexpectedly appeared on screen.
The apparent mistake occurred ahead of the scheduled six-woman tag team match involving Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley.
Flair and Bliss had already entered the ring when Paxley made her way toward the stage. However, during Paxley’s entrance, the name and graphics associated with Kelly Kelly briefly appeared on the arena’s video screen.
The graphic appeared to be partially corrupted before disappearing almost immediately, making it look as though the production team had accidentally triggered the wrong entrance package. Despite lasting only a brief moment, the error was noticeable to viewers watching the broadcast.
Kelly Kelly is currently under a WWE Legends deal after returning to the company in a full-time capacity on April 8, 2025. Her most recent televised WWE match took place in the Women’s Royal Rumble on January 29, 2022, an event ultimately won by Ronda Rousey.
Given the unexpected appearance of Kelly’s graphics, some viewers naturally questioned whether WWE was attempting to tease a surprise return. However, nothing else during the broadcast suggested that the former Divas Champion was involved in any planned storyline or appearance.
Paxley ultimately joined Flair and Bliss for the six-woman tag team bout against Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab. The match ended with Cargill, Michin and B-Fab picking up the victory.
The finish saw Flair and Paxley collide while attempting simultaneous Figure Eights, creating an opening for Cargill to hit Paxley with the Jaded and secure the win.
As a result, Kelly Kelly’s brief appearance on the tron appears to have been nothing more than a production mistake rather than a deliberate tease for her return to WWE’s active roster.
