Fans of the Attitude Era love Jim Johnston’s work in WWE. The beloved veteran music composer crafted some of the most iconic themes for WWE’s biggest stars. However, since his departure, fans have been waiting for him to return because the quality of his music has declined. Speaking on the latest episode of the “All Access Entertainment” podcast, he stated,
“I’d be happy to do it, but you have to be asked. And I think that the chances that Hunter is going to ask are close to zero. The (chances that the) WWE Music Group is going to call me up are zero, and the chances that the guy who is currently doing the themes for WWE, I think is zero. Why would you invite me in or invite somebody else in?”
“I still think Hunter wants to maintain that Motorhead wrote those songs. I don’t think he’s a very big fan (of me). When he was coming out of wrestling and into more of a behind the scenes role, he clearly wanted his own guys, and he perceived me as Vince’s guy. I think that’s why I’m not being asked to write themes anymore.”
