Ex-WWE Superstar Joseph Sawyer has wasted no time in winning championship gold mere days after his non-compete clause with WWE recently expired.
Sawyer recently wrestled for Xcite Wrestling promotion and defeated Anthony Gangone to capture the Xcite Wrestling Heavyweight Championship.
Sawyer wrestled for years as part of WWE under the name Joe Gacy. He won the WWE Tag Team Championships with Dexter Lumis as part of the Wyatt Sicks.
In 2026, Sawyer and the rest of the Wyatt Sicks were released from WWE. His non-compete clause expired on July 23, just two weeks before his win.
