‘Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo’ Featuring Liv Morgan To Premiere At 2026 Toronto International Film Festival

Liv Morgan’s upcoming acting project has reached a major milestone.

The lineup for the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival was officially unveiled on Monday, July 20, and among the featured films is “Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo,” which stars the WWE standout.

The Takashi Miike-directed crime thriller is set to make its world premiere at the festival this September, marking Morgan’s first major film debut at TIFF.

Morgan joined the cast in May 2025 and completed filming later that same month. Since then, fans have been waiting for updates on the project, and the festival premiere is the biggest development yet.

Alongside Morgan, the film stars Shun Oguri, Lily James, Shotaro Mamiya, and Jun Kunimura. The story centers on a Tokyo police officer and a compulsive gambler whose lives become intertwined during a complicated criminal investigation.

While the Toronto International Film Festival premiere is now confirmed, “Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo” has not yet received an official theatrical or streaming release date.
