Shotzi Blackheart has found a new home for herself in MLW, and the former WWE Superstar is ready to show that she is a firm fixture of the promotion.
Just one month after her WWE exit in May 2025, Shotzi joined MLW, where she is the reigning MLW World Women’s Featherweight Champion.
Speaking to “The Takedown on SI”, Blackheart gushed about her MLW run, which was made official in March 2026 when she signed a contract. She said,
“I am the face and the balls of MLW. The ballsy badass is here taking over. I love MLW so much. I think we have the best wrestling product out there and I’m obsessed with it. It’s creative, it’s fun, it’s bonkers, it’s a little 80s, it’s international … I’m really thriving there. They understand Shotzi Blackheart.”
In WWE, Shotzi was a one-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, though she struggled to find her place upon being called to the main roster.
Recalling the period after her exit but before MLW, Blackheart admitted to feeling lost and unsure of herself, though MLW changed that. She said,
“It was a tough time. Now that I’m doing my own thing, I have all the confidence in the world. My carefree attitude is back and I’m having the greatest time … Now, creatively, especially with MLW, they understand me.
“We’re at a mutual agreement on where my character goes. Teaming up with the Good Brothers, being the face and the balls of the company, I feel like I’m being challenged on a creative level, and that’s where I thrive most.”
Outside MLW, Shotzi has wrestled for Game Changer Wrestling, Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling and House of Glory, where she is the HOG Women’s Champion.
