The Length Of El Hijo del Vikingo’s Recovery Time

El Hijo del Vikingo is expected to be sidelined for several months following the knee surgery he recently underwent, with a new report providing an estimated timetable for his return.

The AAA star suffered the injury while rehearsing a planned match with EK Prosper for last week’s episode of WWE NXT. He subsequently underwent surgery to repair the damage, although the exact nature of the injury has not yet been disclosed publicly.

According to a report from Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, the current expectation is that Vikingo will be out of action for approximately six to eight months.

The injury marks another setback for the high-flying star, who also missed around six months in 2024 after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. This latest injury is believed to involve his left knee, as indicated by photos Vikingo shared on his Instagram account following the procedure.

Vikingo is currently the AAA Latin American Champion, having captured the title at AAA Noche de Los Grandes in late May. As of now, AAA has not announced whether the championship will be vacated or how it plans to handle the title during his absence.

Everyone here at eWn wishes El Hijo del Vikingo a successful recovery.
