WWE Evolution 2025 Predictions? | Question Of The Day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

Time for one more round of predictions with the final pay-per-view of the weekend, WWE Evolution. This all-women’s premium live event will take place tonight, so be sure to stay tuned to EWN for live coverage during the show. But in the meantime, let’s run down some last-minute predictions!

My question for you today is “What are your predictions for WWE Evolution 2025?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria

Becky’s not dropping the title here. I do anticipate a title change or two taking place on this show, but it’s not going to be this one. It’s too easy to have Bayley and Lyra Valkyria arguing with each other and for The Man to swoop in and take advantage of that distraction.

Singles Match for the WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Trish Stratus

As always with this sort of setup, I see a lot of people online thinking that Trish Stratus is going to win the title and then fall victim to Naomi cashing in. I don’t think that’s happening for multiple reasons. First and foremost, I don’t think Trish beating Tiffany serves a purpose other than to put another belt on a legend for the sake of it, and I think people’s nostalgia goggles are clouding their eyesight. Second, if there’s a cash-in, that can happen on Stratton, but is this match really going to be brutal enough to justify that? Third, I think this event will have enough other things going on that it won’t need a cash-in. Fourth, I think the cash-in is happening at SummerSlam instead.

Stratton retains. Trish holds her hand up. Yay celebration hashtag this and hashtag that.

No Holds Barred Match: Jade Cargill vs. Naomi

Part of the reason why I think Naomi isn’t going to be cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase is because she’ll lose this No Holds Barred match and be so beaten down that the kayfabe reasoning of her not cashing in is that she’s too banged up.

Cargill just won Queen of the Ring. She’s not losing her momentum. Definitely not to a MITB briefcase-holder, as WWE looooooves to make those people lose all the time.

Cargill wins this. I’m confident of that.

Battle Royal for a Championship Match at WWE Clash in Paris

It’s hard to just skip forward to Clash in Paris when SummerSlam hasn’t even taken place yet. I don’t think WWE had planned to put Nikki Bella in this match, so I don’t think she’s winning and going on to fight for a world title in Paris, either.

Obviously, Natalya, Maxxine Dupri, and Ivy Nile and any other lower-card booked talent isn’t going to win it, either. I highly doubt any legend would, also.

Without knowing all the participants, it’s hard to judge, but I think the two standouts are Stephanie Vaquer and Nia Jax. There’s a big part of me that thinks Jax is winning this in order to set up a match against Jade Cargill, since they do like pairing those two up, and this would be after Cargill could potentially win the title at SummerSlam. But an even bigger part of me just says keep it simple, pick Vaquer, and it’ll be her against Rhea Ripley instead.

Women’s Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way Match: Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez (c) vs. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) vs. Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs. Zaruca (Sol Ruca & ZARIA)

So much has been put out there about Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez not getting along as a tag team that I feel like if they lose the titles, the only way that story can advance is for Perez to be kicked out of The Judgment Day, and I don’t see that happening.

Previously, I thought Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair would win these belts. Now, while I still think that’s a potential option, I think it’s just down to that or R&R retaining. Zaruca and The Kabuki Warriors don’t strike me as having much of a chance. I’m expecting Bliss and Flair to have the match won, only for Perez or Rodriguez to somehow steal the pin on Sane or Ruca.

NXT Women’s Championship Match: Jacy Jayne (c) vs Jordynne Grace

This title is absolutely changing hands. I felt like that was pretty much a certainty from the onset, but now that it’s been announced that the winner will face Masha Slamovich at TNA Slammiversary and put this title on the line along with the Knockouts belt? That screams “Can we get Grace back and share her, WWE? Please?” I do not think there’s a world right now where Jacy Jayne retains and beats Slamovich or that Jayne retains and loses to Slamovich, or that Grace wins here and then loses to Slamovich. It’s a one-way street in my book. Both belts on Grace.

Women’s World Championship Match: IYO SKY (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

I also anticipate this title changing hands. I’m not sure if WWE had this planned since heading into WrestleMania, but I doubt it. I think more so, they just wanted to put on that Triple Threat once they were going over some options a month or so prior, and they had the idea in mind that “Eventually, we’ll just go back to Ripley when we want to. We’ll figure it out.” They probably thought Evolution or SummerSlam, and that they’d see where the wind was blowing, before ultimately settling on this.

Ripley can’t beat Sky, so that’s the story. She does here, and that’s the end of the event.
