As we previously reported here on eWn, former WWE Superstar Elias, now competing in TNA Wrestling as Elijah, suffered an injury on this week’s episode of WWE NXT.
Fightful Select is reporting that Elijah tore his triceps during his match on WWE NXT. He teamed up with Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura to defeat Trick Williams, Wes Lee, and AJ Francis.
The injury occurred when Elijah came off the top rope and hit double knees to the chest. He broke his fall using his arm, which resulted in a torn triceps.
The lead ringside physician of TNA Wrestling was at the taping and assisted NXT’s medical staff.
Elijah has already undergone a successful surgery to repair the injury.
