Dwayne Johnson’s attempts to relaunch the XFL are off to a rocky start after being served a legal notice by several Olympians.

This week, The Rock revealed the league’s new logo which drew comparisons to the ‘Togethxr’ brand, which is run by Alex Morgan, Sue Bird, Chloe Kim, and Simone Manuel.

All four have represented the United States in the Summer Olympics Games.

Bird’s fiancé Megan Rapinoe (also an Olympian) has also claimed that the XFL logo is too similar to the Togethxr design.

On Instagram, Togethxr confirmed the issuing of a legal notice:

“Too often the work and creativity of women is overlooked and undervalued,” the company wrote on Instagram. “Diversity and equality are the norm around here. We’re thrilled to see the XFL embrace inclusivity but this rebrand ain’t it. We’ve issued a legal notice and will continue to protect the important work we’re doing.”

The Rock’s XFL, the third iteration of the football league is set to launch in 2023.
