Dr. Carlon M. Colker and Peak Wellness Inc. are suing Janel Grant’s attorney Ann Callis and the Holland Law Firm, over allegations of defamation.
The 41-page document claims Callis falsely tied Colker to unethical behavior during press conferences and in a press release about Grant’s own lawsuit.
Colker/Wellness claims that the statements Callis made weren’t just “false and defamatory” but also made “outside legal proceedings.”
This means that they are not protected under litigation privilege. Colker adds that medical records refute the claims Callis has made.
The lawsuit outlines several denials, stating:
- “At no point was Patient forced to undergo intravenous infusions.”
- “At no point was Patient ever administered or directed to take unknown substances.”
- “At no point did Dr. Colker personally administer any injections to Patient.”
The suit adds that the patient, presumably Janel Grant, “actively participated in her treatment decisions” and ended treatment in 2022 without any issues.
Callis has claimed that Colker performed unethical treatments on Grant at the discretion of Vince McMahon. The ex-WWE CEO has denied all wrongdoing.
