Street Profits Appear On NXT, Tag Team Gauntlet, Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender’s Matches & More Set For Next Week’s Episode

The Street Profits popped up on the April 8th edition of WWE NXT to give a pep talk to Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, who were upset over losing yet another match (this time, against The Culling’s Brooks Jensen and Niko Vance).

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford’s advice was for Hank and Tank to be themselves, rather than trying to emulate other tag teams like The Hardy Boyz, and to lean on each other. They then announced that next week, there will be a tag team gauntlet match to determine who faces Fraxiom (Axiom and Nathan Frazer) for the NXT Tag Team Championship at the upcoming WWE Stand & Deliver premium live event.

More matches that will go down next week have direct implications for titles at that show, too, as there are still two spots left to determine for the six-woman ladder match that will crown the next to hold the NXT Women’s North American Championship.

On tonight’s episode, Sol Ruca defeated Jazmyn Nyx and Izzi Dame defeated Wren Sinclair to qualify. Though nothing has specifically been announced as far as qualifying matches are concerned, Ava did tell a group of Superstars that there will be no “last chance” qualifier, but that she did have an idea. Leaving it vague, we have no clue if this means a battle royal or something else will happen to determine the final two spots.

Lastly, there will be a Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender’s match to determine who faces Ricky Saints at the pay-per-view for the NXT North American Championship. The four Superstars in that match will be Ethan Page, Wes Lee, Eddy Thorpe, and Lexis King—all four of whom had come out during a Ricky Saints in-ring promo to put their names in the hat and ended up in a brawl.

To recap, here’s the lineup for next week’s NXT as far as what’s currently announced:

  • Something regarding the two final spots for the NXT Women’s North American Championship ladder match
  • NXT North American Championship Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender’s Match: Eddy Thorpe vs. Ethan Page vs. Lexis King vs. Wes Lee
  • NXT Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contenders’ Gauntlet Match (seemingly featuring Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura, No Quarter Catch Crew’s Myles Borne & Tavion Heights, The Culling’s Brooks Jensen & Niko Vance, Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe, and Hank Walker & Tank Ledger)
