Kevin Owens faced Sami Zayn in an Unsanctioned Match at the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.

The match was brutal, featuring multiple weapons such as chairs, tables, and a chair that was wrapped in barbed wire.

The finish saw Zayn connect with the blue thunder bomb into chairs for a nearfall. Owens then wrapped a chair around Zayn’s neck and sent him into the ring post twice. KO quickly followed it up with two powerbombs for the win.

Fightful Select is reporting that “the claim internally in WWE is that the barbed wire in Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn was not gimmicked or shaved down at the request of at least one talent.”

As Owens continued to assault Zayn, Randy Orton made his surprise return and executed an RKO on The Prizefighter. Orton then went for a punt kick, but security stepped in to end the segment.
