The Rock is being advertised for tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown. Nothing is being directly said about his purpose for showing up, so my question for you today is “What do you think Dwayne Johnson will do on Friday Night SmackDown?”

As far as my answer…

Realistically, he’s not getting involved in any kind of angle, nor is he setting up something for WrestleMania 41 like saying he’ll be a special guest referee or anything along those lines.

People are going to speculate and hype this up to high heavens, but I think we’re looking at more of a generic promo from him where he spends a lot of time talking about feeling goosebumps and being happy that he’s there. Then, since this is New Orleans, and the rumor has it that WrestleMania 42 is going to be there, I think he’s going to announce just that.

It’ll be a 15 minute segment to have The Rock say “We’re coming back to New Orleans because it’s such a great party town, and next year, the party’s going to be even bigger because we’re bringing WrestleMania 42 to The Big Easy” in so many words.

Anything beyond that will be very surprising to me.
