Next week on NXT, there will be a 25-Man Battle Royal to determine the next No. 1 contender who will face Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at WWE Battleground: Tampa on May 25, 2025.
While the 25 Superstars competing in the match have not yet been 100% confirmed, this was originally announced by NXT General Manager Ava to Trick Williams, saying that would have to be the way he could earn that one-on-one match with Femi he’s been clamoring for.
Outside of Williams being the only guarantee, others have been teased for it, and it’s also been announced that this will feature not just NXT Superstars, but talent from WWE EVOLVE, WWE LFG, and even TNA Wrestling.
The graphic above should be as good of an indicator of the lineup, but there may also be some changes, especially as that doesn’t include a single TNA star, nor are Jasper Troy or Anthony Luke in there, and they had both been with Shiloh Hill and The Undertaker to mention the LFG involvement.
One TNA star who will be on next week’s episode, though, is Joe Hendry, who will team with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger in a six-man tag team match against three members of DarkState.
DarkState had attacked Hendry on this episode, and the tag team champions told him they’d have his back.
There will also be a No. 1 Contender’s match for the next NXT Women’s Championship title shot, with Jordynne Grace against Giulia. The winner will face Stephanie Vaquer at Battleground.
Last up for what’s been announced in advance is that Kelani Jordan will face ZARIA, with the idea in mind being that if Jordan beats her, she’ll be the next in line to face Sol Ruca for the Women’s North American Championship.
