2 Matches Added To AEW WrestleDream 2024, Updated Card

Two matches have been added to the lineup for AEW WrestleDream 2024, as well as a note on the return of Swerve Strickland.

Following his return to AEW during last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, wherein he attacked “Hangman” Adam Page after his match with Juice Robinson, “Switchblade” Jay White defeated Cody Chhun on this week’s episode before cutting a promo about wanting to get back on track toward the world title, but first, wanting a match against Page.

White had last previously wrestled opposite Page and came up short in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

In a four-way to settle Mariah May’s next challenger, Willow Nightingale defeated Saraya, Jamie Hayter, and Nyla Rose.

After the match, May laid out Nightingale with her title belt. Later in the night, Nightingale got her revenge by taking out May in an interview segment.

It was also mentioned that Swerve Strickland would return at WrestleDream, but he was not mentioned to have any kind of match or any other clarification about what that may mean. However, MVP and Shelton Benjamin are very interested, having previously already made a pitch to take on Strickland over the past few weeks.

• Darby Allin vs. Brody King
• Singles Match for the ROH World Championship: Mark Briscoe (c) vs. Chris Jericho
• Singles Match for the AEW TNT Championship: Jack Perry (c) vs. Katsuyori Shibata
• Three-Way for the AEW International Championship: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Ricochet vs. Konosuke Takeshita
• AEW Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) vs. Private Party (Zay & Quen)
• Swerve Strickland will return
• Singles Match for the AEW Women’s World Championship: Mariah May (c) vs. Willow Nightingale
